On November 3, at the joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committees on State and Legal Affairs and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, the financial allocations envisaged for the RA Ministry of Justice by the state budget for 2022 were debated.

The RA Minister of Justice Karen Andreasyan informed that in 2022, 23bln 288mln 285 thousand AMD were envisaged to implement the policy of the sphere. 8 programmes will be carried out during the year which includes 27 events. 1.028.9mln AMD envisaged by the Judicial and Public Protection programme will be directed to the provision of accessibility and objectivity of public protection.

14.930.9mln AMD were envisaged by the Penitentiary Service. In 2022, it is planned to optimize penitentiaries and effectively allocate the saved financial means and direct them to meet the needs. 1.852.9mln AMD were envisaged for the improvement of building conditions.

In 2022, 1.500.0mln AMD will be allocated to construct the buildings of the Anti-Corruption Committee and Courts. The normal activities of the Anti-Corruption Committee and the improvement of the toolkit will be ensured within the framework of the programme. The Minister has also stated that the administration existing in the sphere will be reduced next year.
